Debra Scacco

Another text artist, Debra Scacco. This one is titled "hold me" ink on paper. I like the patterns and shapes she makes, like concrete poem. She also has some New Baroque pieces, but in this text black and white look, it kind of drains the feeling of being over the top. Maybe it is just me, but I have been more and more convinced that some of the best work out their is 98% intentional mark making on the artist's part. Scacco's work seems to be about the intentional mark as much as the text. I ran across her work at Marine Contemporary Gallery.
