I have been looking for artists that use minimal lines and colors in a unique way, so I was happy to come across Ian Davenport. I really enjoy the colors and dripping quality of this work. I think there is something natural about the flow at the bottom that starts to make to an ordinary minimal work come alive. Really this is a good twist on the theme of line paintings. Davenport has paintings that have paint spilling on the floor.
