When I was in Boston this summer, I got to see Jennifer Riley's work. I love this simple but elegant composition. This work reminds me of an assignment I gave to my class. Only, this work is much more of an impressive scale. You can also see a kind of abstract stain glass window. I enjoy the feeling of a spontaneous drawing, while at the same time I can tell that the work was painstakingly painted. I am glad to see Riley in a New York gallery, Allegra LaViola Gallery.
