Past Drawing

This work I did right before I got into the program of UNT for my MFA. I started to make these drawing that would become the foundation of my current work. This one is crude with the use of sharpies and the one thickness of line, plus the lack of layering, but it was a good start and I think it taught me that hand inking to make a drawing can be as intense and skillful as a painting. This work takes words from a high school year book signed by a friend.
