Bernardo Cantu is an artist that takes a lot of risks and I think his work does get some payoffs for that risk. His work is often between painting and sculpture. He like to rap up his work with textiles from the 80's and then he cut into these work and also layers the work. Often time his paintings look well worn art objects. He does use paint, but often time he uses textiles to create patterns and pure shapes of color. He seems to be working from an imaged post-apocalyptic art world. He is another artist at UNT.
